Germany's Merz says Europe looking for more independence from China
WASHINGTON, June 5 (Reuters) - German Chancellor Friedrich Merz, who earlier met President Donald Trump during a visit to Washington, told CNN on Thursday that Europe is looking for more independence from China.
He also said that tariffs are having a "terrible" impact on German automakers.
