Finland's government proposes 994 million euro borrowing increase
COPENHAGEN, May 28 (Reuters) - Finland's government is proposing an increase in net borrowing of 944 million euros ($1.07 billion) for this year, the finance ministry said in a statement on Wednesday, citing the need for further investments in internal and external security.
In its second supplementary budget proposal, the government plans to raise net borrowing to around 13.2 billion euros for 2025. Net borrowing was initially estimated to be around 12.3 billion euros.
The proposal will now move to parliament for debate and voting.
