Howden Miami names Chaucer's McLaughlin managing director

April 30 - (The Insurer) - Howden has appointed April McLaughlin as managing director of its Miami business, the company said on Wednesday.
McLaughlin will be responsible for establishing a Miami presence for the group's reinsurance business, Howden Re, as well as integrating and expanding Howden's specialty insurance businesses across Latin America and the Caribbean.
Max Scagnetti, currently specialty managing director for Howden Miami, will become executive adviser for Miami and Latin America.
In her new role, McLaughlin will lead Howden Re Miami, offering treaty and facultative solutions as part of the company's international expansion.
McLaughlin previously led Chaucer's Latin America hub and was head of Latin America reinsurance at Axa XL.
