Brace UK & Europe hires Hiscox's Townsend as senior underwriter

April 29 - (The Insurer) - Beat Capital Partners-backed MGA Brace UK & Europe has appointed Amie Townsend as senior underwriter, the company said on Tuesday.

London-based Townsend will report to Martin McBrearty, head of Brace UK & Europe, and will be responsible for developing the company's MGA relationships across the UK and Europe.

She will also manage existing client accounts and oversee underwriting decisions and business management within Brace's alternative risk portfolio.

Townsend joins Brace after 12 years at Hiscox in various underwriting roles across aviation, aerospace, political violence and product recall.
