Rokstone names Antares' Hughes to lead specialty reinsurance

April 28 - (The Insurer) - Aventum Group-owned Rokstone has appointed Eddie Hughes as head of specialty reinsurance, the MGA said on Monday.

In his new role, Hughes will assume oversight of Rokstone’s global specialty reinsurance portfolio across marine, energy, terrorism, aviation and space.

Rokstone said the appointment marks a significant step in its strategic expansion in the treaty space.

Hughes joins Rokstone from Antares Managing Agency Ltd, where he latterly served as head of reinsurance.

Having joined Antares in 2014, other previous roles include class underwriter for marine and energy. Prior to that, he was a treaty underwriter at Canopius Syndicate 4444.
