HDI Global names Andrew Weare mining lead underwriter

April 24 - (The Insurer) - HDI Global SE has appointed Andrew Weare as lead underwriter for mining, the company said on Thursday.
Weare will succeed Matthew Johnson, who HDI Global said was transitioning towards retirement, with effect from April 15.
In his global role, Weare will report directly to Rafael Rebitzky, chief underwriting officer at HDI Global Specialty SE.
Weare has spent the last seven years at HDI Global as a senior underwriter. Before this, he worked at Munich Re and Marsh.
