UK's Starmer and Trump discuss trade, Ukraine and Iran
April 18 (Reuters) - British Prime Minister Keir Starmer spoke to U.S. President Donald Trump on Friday, a Downing Street spokesperson said.
The two leaders discussed trade between the UK and the U.S., with Starmer reiterating his commitment to free and open trade and the importance of protecting the national interest, the spokesperson said.
The leaders also discussed the situation in Ukraine, Iran and the recent action taken against the Houthis in Yemen, the spokesperson added.
