UK semiconductor firm Alphawave forgoes forecast due to US tariffs
April 17 - British semiconductor company Alphawave IP Group AWE.L said on Thursday that it was unable to provide a financial forecast for 2025 or beyond due to the uncertainty stemming from the "rapidly developing nature" of U.S. tariffs.
Alphawave, which designs and licenses chip technology for data centers, networking and storage, reported new bookings surged 34% to $515.5 million in fiscal 2024.
Earlier this month, U.S. chipmaker Qualcomm QCOM.O expressed interest in acquiring Alphawave.
