Jay Clayton to be interim US attorney for Southern District of New York, Trumps says
April 16 (Reuters) - President Donald Trump on Wednesday said Jay Clayton, a former chairman of the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, will serve as the interim United States attorney for the Southern District of New York.
"The Southern District needs strong leadership NOW, and I thank Jay for taking on this role while we continue to pursue his Senate confirmation," Trump wrote in a post on Truth Social.
