Meta's Zuckerberg eyed Instagram spinoff amid antitrust scrutiny, document shows
WASHINGTON, April 15 (Reuters) - Meta's META.O CEO Mark Zuckerberg considered spinning off popular social media app Instagram in 2018 in anticipation of a potential antitrust suit, documents unveiled at a trial in Washington, D.C. showed on Tuesday.
It came during Zuckerberg's second day testifying at the trial in Washington, in which the U.S. Federal Trade Commission is seeking to unwind Meta's acquisitions of prized assets Instagram and WhatsApp.
