Westfield Specialty International launches reinsurance division

April 15 - (The Insurer) - Westfield Specialty International has launched a reinsurance division with Chris Gray appointed as divisional director, the company said on Tuesday.

Gray will report to Jeremy Shallow, chief underwriting officer at Westfield Specialty International.

London-based Gray brings over 20 years of underwriting experience in the (re)insurance industry, most recently serving as global head of marine reinsurance at Axis.

He has previously held senior roles at Swiss Re and Canopius Group, managing underwriting across various lines including marine and energy, casualty and political risk.
