Oak Re 2843 ups 2025 GWP to more than $400 million

April 10 - (The Insurer) - Oak Reinsurance has received Lloyd's approval to increase Syndicate 2843's gross written premium to more than $400 million in the 2025 business plan.
The Thursday announcement said the syndicate business forecast resubmission followed it outperforming its expectations during the first quarter of 2025.
Oak Re Syndicate 2843 started underwriting business on January 1, 2025, with an initial GWP target of $300 million for the first year.
The syndicate is focused on short-tail business with around half of the portfolio made up of non-marine property reinsurance. The remainder of the book consists of property insurance, cyber, credit, political violence and terrorism, marine and energy.
