BOJ Ueda says he hopes to debate global fallout from US tariff policy

TOKYO, April 2 (Reuters) - Bank of Japan Governor Kazuo Ueda said on Wednesday he would like to share views with his G20 counterparts on how higher U.S. tariffs could affect the global economy when the group's finance leaders meet in Washington later this month.

"The impact of U.S. tariff policy on the global economy is highly uncertain. But depending on the range and scale of U.S. tariffs, they could have a big impact on each country's trade activity," Ueda told parliament.
