Gallagher Re names Pickel European executive chair

April 1 - (The Insurer) - Gallagher Re has appointed former E+S Rück CEO Michael Pickel as executive chairman for the DACH region and Italy.
In this role, Pickel will work closely with the leadership teams in both regions.
Pickel most recently served as CEO and chair of E+S Rück, the Hannover Re subsidiary responsible for German business.
He retired from that role on December 31, 2024, bringing to an end 25 years with Hannover Re.
