Marsh names Russell global head of wholesale

March 24 - (The Insurer) - Marsh has appointed Adam Russell to lead its wholesale insurance broking operations as head of global wholesale.
Effective immediately, London-based Russell will report to John Donnelly, president of global placement at Marsh.
Russell will have overall responsibility for Marsh’s global wholesale insurance broking operations, including portfolio solutions, and will focus on developing broker’s wholesale and facultative business.
Russell, who joined Marsh in 2014, has been head of strategy, global placement since December 2023. He previously held senior leadership positions within Marsh’s international wholesale placement business in Singapore before becoming placement leader for Marsh Asia’s retail business in 2018.
In 2022, he relocated to London to lead Marsh’s UK portfolio solutions and digital placement teams before assuming his current role.
Charlotte Meah will succeed Russell as head of strategy, global placement. Atlanta-based Meah joined Marsh in 2013 as a senior adviser in the risk consulting business, and most recently served as chief of staff, Marsh Specialty & Global Placement.
