IUA names Jones chief executive as Matcham retires

March 20 - (The Insurer) - The International Underwriting Association has appointed Chris Jones as its new chief executive, succeeding the long-serving Dave Matcham.

Jones will formally take up the role on May 1, 2025 and will move from his current position as the IUA's director of legal, underwriting and claims.

Matcham, who has more than 45 years of London market experience, will retire after 20 years as the IUA's chief executive.

The IUA said Matcham's positions on the boards of Velonetic and Placing Platform Limited would continue for "a period of time".
