WASHINGTON, March 13 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent told reporters on Thursday that the Trump administration's tariff drive is aimed at protecting strategic industries and jobs in the United States.
He said a possible government shutdown is weighing on economic sentiment.
