GenStar launches accountants' professional liability program through Starwind's Huntersure

Jan 31 - (The Insurer) - GenStar Insurance Services has partnered with Starwind Group's Huntersure to create a new professional liability (PL) program for accountants.

The newly minted program provides tailored insurance solutions for accounting professionals in 45 states on an admitted basis. It is also available to accounting firms that generate $2.5mn or less in annual revenue.

Written on the admitted paper of AM Best A++ rated GenStar affiliate General Star National Insurance Company, the new program offers limits of up to $3mn. The policy includes specialised coverage such as privacy and information security, employee dishonesty, disabled partner replacement, expenses for document production, trials, hearings, or arbitration proceedings, and protection for administrative proceedings.

“Huntersure has earned a reputation as a respected accountants’ professional program administrator with over 15 years of experience in accountants’ professional liability,” said Matthew Brown, senior vice president and GenStar delegated division manager.

Garden City, New York-based Huntersure is a program administrator that specialises in the PL sector. Led by Dennis Mullins, Huntersure offers a range of programs including those focused on allied healthcare, miscellaneous PL, lawyers' PL, and architects' and engineers' PL, among others. Huntersure is one of the units within Starwind, the programs and MGA-focused platform of TIH.
