Brazil rejects US allegations in trade investigation, requests dialogue
BRASILIA, Aug 18 (Reuters) - The Brazilian government submitted on Monday a formal response to the investigation launched in July by the United States under Section 301 of the Trade Act of 1974 into Brazil's trade practices.
In its response, available on the website of U.S. Trade Representative, the Brazilian government said it "rejects the allegations made in the initiation notice," and urged "the USTR to reconsider the initiation of this investigation and to engage in constructive dialogue."
