CANADA FX DEBT - Canadian dollar unchanged, benchmark yield slips
The Canadian dollar was unchanged against the greenback on Tuesday, and the yield on benchmark government debt slipped.
The loonie CAD= was trading is unchanged at C$1.378 to the greenback, or 72.57 U.S. cents, after trading in a range of 1.3767 to 1.3806.
Canadian government 10-year bond yields CA10YT=RR fell 0.3 basis points to 3.393%. The yield on similar U.S. government benchmark debt fell to 4.2713%.
U.S. September crude CLc1 futures fell 50 cents to $63.46 a barrel on Tuesday.
The value of building permits in Canada fell -9% in June, Statistics Canada said.
