Brazil finance minister to speak with Bessent next week over U.S. sanctions on Brazil judge
BRASILIA, Aug 1 (Reuters) - The Brazilian finance minister said on Friday he will hold a virtual meeting next week with U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent to discuss U.S. sanctions imposed this week on Brazilian Supreme Court justice Alexandre de Moraes.
Minister Fernando Haddad told journalists that he wants to clarify how Brazil's justice system works, adding there is a lot of misinformation happening regarding the subject. Haddad did not provide details on the exact date of the meeting.
