UK Treasury says it respects motor finance ruling, will assess impact
LONDON, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Britain's finance ministry said on Friday it respected a Supreme Court ruling on car finance commissions which was likely to ease the fears of some banks about the extent of a redress scheme.
"We respect this judgment from the Supreme Court and we will now work with regulators and industry to understand the impact for both firms and consumers," a Treasury spokesperson said.
