Brazil fine-tuning plan to help companies deal with US tariffs
SAO PAULO, Aug 1 (Reuters) - Brazil's government expects to announce next week the first measures of a contingency plan it has been preparing to help businesses to cope with the 50% tariff announced by U.S. President Donald Trump on several goods from that country.
Finance Minister Fernando Haddad told reporters on Friday that the government is fine-tuning figures, including the amounts needed to help affected companies, but expects spending under the plan to comply with local fiscal rules.
