BRASILIA, July 23 (Reuters) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva on Wendesday proposed kicking off talks to expand his nation's trade deal with Mexico in a phone call with his counterpart Claudia Sheinbaum, Brazil said.
Authorities from both countries had already said last year they saw the need to revise and expand the current trade agreements between Latin America's two largest economies.
In a statement, the Brazil's Presidential Palace said both leaders agreed on Wednesday to an official visit from Brazilian Vice President Geraldo Alckmin to Mexico, alongside other ministers and businesspeople, from August 27 to 28.
