Lula records speech to the nation about U.S. tariffs against Brazil, local media says
SAO PAULO, July 16 (Reuters) - Brazilian President Luiz Inacio Lula da Silva has recorded a TV and radio address to the nation about Donald Trump's administration threat to raise tariffs against Brazil, newspaper Valor Economico said on Wednesday, citing sources.
The speech, which comes after Trump announced last week a 50% tariff on the U.S. imports from Brazil starting in August, is expected to be broadcast on Thursday, the newspaper added.
