Brazil says it remains ready to engage in dialogue with the US on tariffs
BRASILIA, July 16 (Reuters) - Brazil's government said on Wednesday it had sent a letter to U.S. authorities expressing its "indignation" over their decision to impose a 50% import tariff on all Brazilian exports, effective August 1.
In a joint statement from the Foreign Affairs Ministry and the Ministry of Development, officials also signaled Brazil's willingness to negotiate "a mutually acceptable solution" on trade issues within the bilateral agenda.
