BRASILIA, July 15 (Reuters) - Brazil will work to get the United States to reverse "as quickly as possible" the 50% tariff it announced on all goods from that country, but does not rule out asking for more time to negotiate, Vice President Geraldo Alckmin said on Tuesday.
"If more time is needed, we will work toward that," Alckmin told reporters after a meeting with business leaders to discuss the tariffs, noting the country faces an "exiguous" deadline for talks as the tariffs are due to take effect on August 1.
