NEW YORK, July 9 (Reuters) - Brazil's real currency added to earlier losses to fall over 2% against the dollar late on Wednesday after U.S. President Donald Trump said his administration will slap Brazil with a 50% tariff on products sent to the U.S. "separate from all sectoral tariffs" starting August 1, while the Republican leader also expressed support for former Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro.
The real weakened as much as 2.8% past 5.60 per dollar and was last down 2% at 5.5532.
