UK sets out new crypto rules, date for wider financial services strategy
LONDON, April 29 (Reuters) - British finance minister Rachel Reeves announced on Tuesday that the government was setting out new draft legislation for regulating crypto assets and would give a broader financial services strategy on July 15.
"Financial services is one of the key growth-driving sectors in the UK for modern industrial strategy," Reeves said in a speech at the IFGS fintech conference in London.
"With fintech as a priority ... I look forward to publishing the financial services growth and competitiveness strategy at my upcoming Mansion House address, which I can today confirm will take place on 15th July."
