SNB lowers threshold factor for remuneration of sight deposits
BERLIN, April 28 (Reuters) - The Swiss National Bank will lower the threshold factor for the remuneration of sight deposits from 20 to 18 effective June 1, it said in a statement on Monday, adding that this had no impact on the current monetary policy stance.
The lowering of the threshold factor counteracted the increase in thresholds due to the raising of the minimum reserve requirement as of July 2024, the SNB said.
The adjustment ensured that the implementation of monetary policy remained effective and supported an active money market, the SNB added.
