Bessent held productive talks with Japanese counterpart, Treasury says
April 25 (Reuters) - U.S. Treasury Secretary Scott Bessent held productive discussions on Thursday with his Japanese counterpart, Katsunobu Kato, that included the topic of reciprocal trade, the Treasury said in a readout released on Friday.
The pair also "affirmed their intention to continue their ongoing close consultations regarding issues related to exchange rates," according to the statement.
