WASHINGTON, April 23 (Reuters) - Bank of England Governor Andrew Bailey on Wednesday urged the United States to adopt Basel bank capital rules, stressing the importance of a level playing field on banking rules.
"It's not for me to say what the U.S. should do, but I will say I strongly encourage that there is a Basel implementation," Bailey said at an Institute of International Finance event in Washington.
