WASHINGTON, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Atlanta Fed President Raphael Bostic said Friday he was hopeful the Fed would have a lot of new data in hand for its December meeting to clarify what is now a muddled picture of where inflation and the unemployment rate are heading.
Newly reopened federal agencies on Friday began releasing their plans to catchup on delayed data reports, and "we'll hopefully have a lot of data that come in," Bostic said. "This is an incredibly challenging environment to be doing policy."
