Richemont Chairman hopeful for Swiss agreement with US to reduce tariffs

ZURICH, Nov 14 (Reuters) - Richemont CFR.S is hopeful that Switzerland and the United States will move close to a deal to reduce U.S. import tariffs of 39% on Swiss exports in the next two weeks, Chairman Johann Rupert said on Friday.

Rupert said he thought the "misunderstanding" between Washington and Bern would be cleared up quickly, with indications on a settlement coming "this week or next."

Still, it could be months before an agreement is signed, Rupert told reporters after Richemont reported its half-year figures.
