
Oct 9 (Reuters) - Greece's annual EU-harmonised inflation slowed to 1.8% in September from 3.1% in August, data showed on Thursday.
Month-on-month consumer inflation rose 0.5%
The cost of food and non-alcoholic beverages rose 1.4% year-on-year in September, with prices of clothing and footwear up by 5.2%, the data showed.
EU-harmonised inflation is an index of components that is used across the EU to measure inflation in a consistent way.
Official statistics service ELSTAT also reported that headline consumer inflation in September dropped to 1.9% from 2.9% in August.
