German inflation confirmed at 2.1% in August

BERLIN, Sept 12 (Reuters) - German inflation rose to 2.1% in August, the federal statistics office said on Friday, confirming preliminary data.
German consumer prices, harmonised to compare with other European Union countries, had risen by 1.8% year-on-year in July.
