Aug 26 (Reuters) - Federal Reserve Bank of Richmond President Tom Barkin said his forecast is for a modest adjustment in interest rates given what he expects will be little variation in economic activity over the remainder of the year, Bloomberg News reported on Tuesday.
"I see modest movement in the economy," Barkin said on Tuesday in an interview after an event in Blacksburg, Virginia adding "If there's modest movement in the economy, that would imply a modest adjustment in rates," the report added.
