Swiss government says tariff discussions with United States continues

ZURICH, Aug 8 (Reuters) - The Swiss government said on Friday it was continuing discussions with the United States about reducing tariffs, after a 39% import duty on Swiss products went into force on Thursday.
"Discussions with the United States are ongoing," the State Secretariat for Economic Affairs (SECO) said in a statement to Reuters. "The discussions have consistently focused on reducing the additional US tariffs."
