UK house prices unexpectedly fell 0.6% in April, Nationwide says

April 30 (Reuters) - British house prices fell by a stronger-than-expected 0.6% in April, data from mortgage lender Nationwide showed on Wednesday.
A Reuters poll of economists had pointed to a flat monthly reading.
Compared with a year ago, house prices were 3.4% higher, compared with the consensus for a 4.1% annual increase.
