Former Fed governor Warsh says Fed shouldn't buy US govt debt in normal times
April 25 (Reuters) - Former Federal Reserve Governor Kevin Warsh, on President Donald Trump's short list of candidates to be the next chief of the Fed, on Friday said he believes the central bank should reduce its footprint in financial markets
"What bothers me most is when we're doing the buying of the debt from our own government in normal times of full employment and price stability," Warsh said to a conference organized by the Group of 30.
