Brazil closes more jobs than expected in December

BRASILIA, Jan 30 (Reuters) - Brazil's economy shed a net 535,547 formal jobs in December, labor ministry data showed on Thursday, exceeding the 402,500 job losses forecast in a Reuters poll of economists.
Despite the traditionally negative performance in December, the country posted a net creation of 1.694 million jobs for the full year, the ministry said.
