PARIS, Jan 13 (Reuters) - France's economic growth slumped last year but there is no risk of recession and there could be a pick-up in 2026 and 2027, Bank of France Governor Francois Villeroy de Galhau said on Monday.
Earlier the central bank published its monthly outlook showing France's economy likely stalled at the end of 2024.
"The survey remains in line with our growth forecast of 0.9% for this year. So (...) it's a slowdown, not a recession, and there may be a pick-up from 2026-2027," Villeroy, a European Central Bank (ECB) policymaker, told LCI.
