US Cash Grains-Soy, corn basis bids mostly steady at Midwest processors, elevators

CHICAGO, March 6 (Reuters) - Basis bids for corn and soybeans were mostly steady at elevators, processors, ethanol plants and river terminals in a spot check of locations on Friday.

• Basis bids for soybeans weakened at some locations on Thursday as farmers sold crops. Farmer sales picked up as futures prices improved earlier in the week, dealers said.

• Corn basis bids eased at a processor in Decatur, Illinois, and soybean basis bids rose at an elevator in Cincinnati, Ohio. They were flat at all other locations in the spot check.

• Chicago soybeans rose to their highest point since June 2024 on Friday, tracking gains in crude oil prices as investors continued to react to potential disruption from the U.S.-Israel war with Iran. GRA/
