Discussing strategic petroleum reserve release is premature, French finance ministry official says

PARIS, March 5 (Reuters) - Any discussion of a release from the strategic petroleum reserve is premature and not reflective of the current situation, a French finance ministry cabinet official said on Thursday, amid the conflict in the Middle East.
The official reiterated there was no short-term supply problem for France for gas or gasoline since France depends very little on the region.
