BUDAPEST, Feb 18 (Reuters) - Hungary and Slovakia turned to the European Commission to ask to enforce a rule that allows them to buy Russian oil via maritime route if pipeline deliveries are not possible, Hungarian Foreign Minister Peter Szijjarto said in a statement on Wednesday.
The Druzhba oil pipeline from Russia via Ukraine has been shut since January 27. Ukraine said that was due to a Russian attack on the pipeline, but Hungary and Slovakia have accused Kyiv of intentionally holding back supply.
