PARIS, Feb 17 (Reuters) - The EU carbon border tariff would make it too risky to export gas to Europe, U.S. Energy Secretary Chris Wright said at a conference in Paris on Tuesday.
"The penalties associated with it would make it too risky to export natural gas to Europe," he said.
The EU's carbon border tariff applies to imported goods including steel and cement. It does not apply to gas or liquefied natural gas imports.
