US House lawmakers raised Boeing deal on rare China visit, delegate says
BEIJING, Sept 23 (Reuters) - Adam Smith, a U.S. Democratic Representative leading a group of U.S. lawmakers on a rare visit to Beijing, said at a press conference on Tuesday that the delegation wanted to see a deal in which China committed to buy more Boeing BA.N aircraft.
He also said the delegation wanted to open up lines of communication between the United States and China, particularly on military capabilities and emerging technologies.
