US Plains HRW Wheat-Basis bids steady as futures ease
CHICAGO, Sept 22 (Reuters) - Basis bids for hard red winter wheat were flat in a spot check of grain elevators in the southern U.S. Plains on Monday as futures fell.
Farmers continue to seed the winter wheat crop that will be harvested in 2026.
The U.S. Department of Agriculture said that winter wheat planting was 20% complete, behind the five-year average of 23% and the average analyst estimate of 22%.
K.C. December hard red winter wheat KWZ25 ended down 5 cents at $5.02-1/4 a bushel.
