Operations at Dallas-area airports back to normal levels, FAA says

ReutersSep 20, 2025 5:50 PM

- Operations at Dallas Fort Worth and Dallas Love Field airports have returned to normal levels, the Federal Aviation Administration said on Saturday,

The FAA said it was working with airlines on recovery plans to support impacted flights.

"Yesterday's disruption was caused by multiple failures of the TDMI data telecommunications service provided by Frontier, a local telecommunications company," the FAA said in a statement. "This then led to an outage impacting the FAA's Dallas TRACON facility."

Earlier, American Airlines AAL.O said it had canceled 690 flights since Friday, impacting 100,000 customers because of the Dallas-area telecommunications outage.
