JAVELIN MISSILES FOR POLAND
The U.S. State Department has approved the potential sale of Javelin Missile Systems and related logistics support to Poland for an estimated cost of $780 million, the Pentagon said on Thursday.
POLAND'S RATING
On Friday evening, Moody's will present its rating for Poland. Earlier this month, Fitch lowered the country's outlook to "negative," citing growing risks to public finances as the key driver.
DATA
The pace of Polish wage growth slowed in August defying analysts' expectations of a slight increase, while industrial output was higher than forecast, statistics office data showed on Thursday.
Poland's corporate sector wages rose by 7.1% on the year in August, slowing further from 7.6% growth a month earlier. Analysts had expected a reading of 7.8% growth for August. Employment in August fell 0.8% on the year, as expected.
